It's just this speck character, sitting on my chest, that's usually all I can see - beyond it is a oddly warped version of my room. The big clock on the wall is usually talking nonsense or running backwards. Dimensions are a bit odd, like they're too far away or too close.

I know that it is a dream usually but it's still bloody terrifying cause I can't move and I usually end up thinking speck is going to eat me, like literally eat me. It's those little fangs.

Oh yeah, I know. It's not circumventable to the majority, which is why it is evil. I don't think the subconcious can ever be that cogent. I think it's my rampant drug abuse causing REM disruption/general state of consciousness shifts which in turn has lead to sleep paralysis.

Strange it has such a coherent image though. From what I've been reading it's never usually this clear. The mind is a funny thing.

tl;dr if i stop taking so many drugs and sleeping properly, speck will stop haunting me

Was a minor complaint. It would be the same as with a bed sheet. Would only mildly matter if it was involved, which it was, thus he could've said it was heavy and not make the reader assume. It has to do with senses, which enhance a story for the reader, especially if 2/3 sense are correctly written about at once. A clop that is capable of working with 4 senses at once makes everything else seem like crap in comparison. Same can be applied to restaurants, parties, etc.

Sadly, critiquing isn't that easy. Also, when a great writer does something, it makes sense for me to expect the thing to be equal or better than previous works, unless it's a first attempt at a genre. This "knowledge" that he had never done clop before prevented me from going down an even more nit-picky path for the "critique", though I still had to point out what I didn't like,though it was overdone.Honestly, I'd hope at least one Anon here would develop the balls to critique in way that is harsh but thoughtful way that would make writers leave/withstand the so-called "hate" that they would receive. Manning two pastebins for stories, writing stories, and "critiquing" is not easy, after all...

The problem with that is that I don't see anything in the critiques that bothers me. Sure some things aren't perfect, but I don't expect anything to be perfect. If I noticed things the writers consistently did wrong or that could use improving I would mention it, but frankly I don't. The only thing I want to see after reading one of their stories is more, and so I say something to that effect.

It's nothing personal but your critique is something that bothers me, because it threatens to misdirect the writers' efforts and possibly cause them to waste their effort on fixing things that don't need to be fixed when they could be using it to add more good content or make things that are already good even better

Well, I once tried sleep paralysis not long ago and I felt something like a batpony was moving on top of me, it spoke something (her voice was so soft), then she lied down in my chest and bit me in the neck. Since you seem to be going for edgy here, why not go "full edge"? The pone in question could be one taken by the changelings for feeding, but it goes mad with hunger as the changelings don't know that bat pone require protein from blood. Mad with hunger it breaks/escapes from its bindings during a guard assault on the hive and hunts for food. It just so happens that the feeding coliseum is next to the incubation room, and so the emaciated pone is confronted with an ample supply of squishy sacks filled with nutrients and blood. Granted, changeling blood tastes horrible, like warm vomit horrible, but the pone is so HUNGRY it doesn't matter. The first is like sweet ambrosia, the next just as good. Eventually they collapse in bliss, hunger quenched in a half torn open larvae.

I might make this into a legitimate story down the line if anyone is interested.

My advice, if you've never used an underfolder before, try one before you buy one.

I liked it but I've got to say a standard fixed stock is far more comfortable. It's partly why I ended up trading it.
